Southwest Florida International Airport posted its best December for passenger traffic in its 41-year history. In total, 1,094,783 passengers traveled through the south Fort Myers airport, a 27% increase from December 2022, according to Lee County Port Authority data.
RSW finished 2023 with 10,069,839 passengers, a 2.6% decrease from 2022.
The traffic leader in December was Delta, with 215,764 passengers. Rounding out the top five airlines were Southwest (160,855), United (152,311), American (138,244) and Frontier (107,889).
RSW had 9,873 arrivals and departures, a 27% year-over-year increase.
Page Field in Fort Myers saw 14,584 arrivals and departures, an 8.6% decrease compared to December 2022. Page Field’s annual operations finished with a record-breaking 203,503, 19% more than 2022.
