Managing Partners
Perry Laufenberg

Perry Laufenberg serves as the Managing Partner, Designated Broker and co-founding Partner of SVN | Desert Commercial Advisors in Phoenix, Arizona. Since entering the commercial real estate industry in 2003, Laufenberg has worked diligently to help his team of agents meet and exceed their sales goals. Skilled in all aspects of brokerage, including Transaction Management, Marketing, assisting Brokers and Landlords of Apartments, Shopping Centers, Office, and Industrial Buildings, Laufenberg can provide insight into deal issues at all stages of a transaction.

Raised in Tucson, Laufenberg is an Arizona native and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate from the W.P. Carrey School of Business at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

This fifth office expansion is unique to the SVN brand nationwide and made up of existing managing directors.

John Parsons, Jr

John R. Parsons, Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for SVN® | Parsons Commercial Group | Boston based in Framingham, Massachusetts. Mr. Parsons has over twenty five years of professional experience in the commercial real estate industry as a real estate broker, investor and owner, developer and founder of Parsons Commercial Group, Inc. In 2015, he expanded the firm and affiliated with SVN (SVN®) to grow the firm’s knowledge base and national reach.

Mr. Parsons has built one of the top brokerage and property management firms within the Greater Boston market with a full range of service lines including leasing, investment sales, property and asset management, multifamily acquisitions, as well as development & construction management. The company’s merger with SVN® propels the growth opportunity and national backing and reach for brokerage opportunities.
Mr. Parsons has successfully built and acquired an impressive portfolio of over 30 properties totaling over 2,000,000 million square feet with a market value in excess of $200,000,000. His portfolio includes a complementary blend of office, industrial, retail, multi-family and residential developments throughout Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

Gabriel Silverstein, SIOR

Gabriel is Chair of SVN’s Institutional Capital Markets group, spearheading our financing and large transaction sales team. He is the managing director of SVN|Angelic (our capital markets group), and of SVN|BIOC (our New Jersey office). Gabriel is a two time SIOR Industrial Deal-of-the-Year award winner and is currently on the SIOR Global Board of Directors. He is also a former President of the New York City/Downstate New York chapter of SIOR, and was Chair of SIOR’s 75th Anniversary Fall World Conference in New York City, for which he was honored to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

Gabriel operates in both the investment banking and investment brokerage worlds, and is also a principal investor/owner on occasion. In total Gabriel has roughly $7B of commercial real estate transaction experience. Within that he has transacted over $1 billion in tenant representation projects, representing Fortune 1000 companies on corporate real estate transactions and portfolio management around the globe and is the SVN corporate real estate services (SVN|CRES) New York and New Jersey team leader.

Gabriel focusses primarily on industrial, office, medical, multifamily and retail properties. In addition to mainstream transaction execution, he also specializes in niche financial structuring including build-to-suit funding/financing and tenant improvement financing. Gabriel has transacted in 45 states and 17 foreign countries. His educational and work background in both finance and computers serves him well in the real estate investment world, with an excellent understanding of structuring and modeling complex financial transactions.

Gabriel has worked in commercial real estate since 1995. Gabriel came to real estate with a financial consulting and investment banking background and today leads SVN | Angelic, a New York City based boutique investment real estate investment banking and investment brokerage firm. Gabriel acts as the company’s senior transaction manager. Gabriel regularly transacts several hundred millions of dollars in transaction volume annually in office, medical, industrial and retail assets, and also structures, sources and places both debt and equity investment.

Gabriel’s financing and analytical strength is most apparent in projects with multiple locations and/or where complex financial structuring is involved. Gabriel has a unique expertise in credit-based financing and financial structures, including structuring and arranging specialty tenant improvement financing.

Gabriel’s client base is primarily institutional real estate ownership and mid-tier developers. Prior to co-founding Angelic, his real estate background included both a Senior Vice President roll at Equis (now a part of Cushman & Wakefield) and also investment management and tenant representation positions at LaSalle Partners (now JLL).

Prior to entering commercial real estate, he worked for Star Progress (Moscow) and Morgan Stanley International (London).

J. Chris Malkin

A 30+ -year SW Florida Resident, J. Chris Malkin, joined SVN in Sarasota, Florida in May of 2009, and is now a Principal Partner and Director of SVN LOTUS Commercial Real Estate Advisors, with business partner Ashley Bloom.

With more than 24 years involvement in the commercial real estate sector nationally, as an investor and a vendor to JMB Realty, Urban Retail Properties, Simon Properties & General Growth to name a few and as a developer along the Gulf Coastal region, Chris brings knowledge and experience that strengthens and elevates SVN within the company and along Florida’s Gulf and beyond. With positive results, Malkins’ focus has been on Industrial/Flex-warehouse, Hospitality, Self Storage, Land, and multi-family assets, including traditional purchase and sale, note purchase, and acquisition of foreclosure judgments throughout the State of Florida. Additionally, Chris has managed and facilitated Bank Owned transactions related to Industrial, Hospitality, Self-Storage, flex-warehouse and residential subdivisions assets to highlight just a few.

Malkin and partners launched the SVN office whose primary market area covered the local 3 counties. Along with the efforts of his partners, SVN has penetrated the market by providing a wide range of commercial real estate services including sales/leasing, Broker Opinion of Values, property management & stabilization and commercial association management.
This effort has been successful by combining national exposure with local expertise.

Malkin has been recognized and awarded for his practices as a Top Producer for SVN Florida going back to 2014 and received the Presidents Circle award for 2018.

Malkin is a Florida Licensed Real Estate Professional, FL Licensed Community Association Manager, and Certified Property Management Specialist.
