Commercial real estate industry veteran and longtime Lee County Commissioner John Albion has joined SVN
Commercial Partners in Fort Myers.
An industry professional in Southwest Florida since 1985, Albion spent the past 10 years with Cushman &
Wakefield’s Fort Myers office, according to a statement. He specializes in office, medical office and hotel
property types.

Alongside his real estate career, Albion got into politics. He was a Lee County commissioner from 1992 to 2006,
where he also spent time as Lee County Port Authority commissioner. In the port role Albion, a Republican,
oversaw the opening of the new terminal at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, the release
states. Albion was also president of the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2012, according
to his LinkedIn profile.
Albion is a second-generation Fort Myers resident, and the Albion family has owned land in Lee County since
the 1960s.
“We are pleased to have John join our growing Fort Myers office,” SVN Managing Partner Ashley Barrett Bloom
says in the release. “The complementary skill sets and local market knowledge will enhance the already talented
roster in the market.”
SVN Commercial Partners has five offices in Southeast and Southwest Florida.
