Both local communities made the annual list for the first time this year, according to a news release from Opendoor.
Parrish‘s 34219 ZIP code ranked as the ninth hottest in the country based on the Opendoor’s analysis of multiple listing service data that ranked homes by the total number of homes that went under contract within 90 days of listing during 2024.
The Parrish community has experienced rapid growth in recent years including the opening of a new high school and plans to open two new hospitals in the coming years.
The 34293 ZIP code for Venice which was recognized as the 17th hottest in the country largely encompasses the Wellen Park project being developed by Mattamy Homes, which is actually within the city of North Port.
The list of the top 20 hottest ZIP codes in real estate did not include information about total number of houses sold in those zip codes. While Opendoor recently championed both local communities for having a hot real estate market, the local Realtors Association has noted a “clear slowdown” in recent months as the median sales price for the area has fallen while the number of homes for sale has increased significantly.
