Iconic waterfront destination near Sarasota sold for $43 million

Fishermen’s Village, a 14-acre waterfront complex of restaurants and shops along with hotel rooms and a marina sold for $43 million to Punta Gorda-based Harborview Capital Group, which partnered with Miami-based Torose Equities.

Fishermen’s Village sustained heavy damage during the 2024 storm season, when hurricanes Helene and Milton severely impacted Southwest Florida.

The Tidewater Group has opened in Latitude 26 in the upstairs dining space one occupied by the Captain’s Table. Tidewater Group will also operate Castaways, which will occupy the space once filled by Harpoon Harry’s.

The Islands Kitchen & Cocktail House features Caribbean style sushi and other seafood dishes. It opened in the 300-seat space once occupied by The Pier at Fishermen’s Village.
Leroy’s Fish Shack, owned by Lee Richardson, operator of Leroy’s Southern Kitchen in downtown Punta Gorda, is opening soon. It will feature local seafood caught and delivered daily.
