Florida is attracting more relocation interest than any other state in 2026, according to a new report from moving marketplace moveBuddha. The study analyzed nearly 98,000 relocation searches made through the company’s Moving Cost Calculator during the first half of the year. Florida accounted for 30% of all net inbound moving searches nationwide, the highest share of any state, and posted a 35% increase in its inbound-to-outbound move ratio from 2025. The state ranked third nationally for overall move-to popularity, with 1.52 inbound move searches for every outbound search. Seven Florida cities landed among the nation’s 10 most popular relocation destinations, including The Villages at No. 1, followed by Ocala, Punta Gorda, St. Augustine, Vero Beach and Kissimmee.
